light concrete
Light concrete is a material that combines good insulating properties and allows the reduction of loads on the structures - it is lighter than standard concrete. Light series includes specially designed mixes manufactured with the use of the so-called ‘light aggregates’: styrofoam granulate (styro-concrete), leca (leca-concrete) or foaming agents (foam-concrete).
light series
- foam-concrete (density in dry state 400-800 kg/m3)
- styro-concrete (density in dry state 800-1400 kg/m3)
- leca-concrete (density in dry state 1400-2000 kg/m3)
benefits and advantages of the solutions
- allows load reduction on new and repaired structures (e.g. ceilings, flat roofs)
- facilitates the leveling of surfaces (e.g. for floor bedding)
- easily fills the spaces around pipes and protects systems against damage
- improves the thermal insulation of floors
- absorbs sounds better than standard concrete
application
- inclined layers of flat roofs
- relieving of repaired ceilings
- filling-insulation and load-relief layer
- thermal insulation leveling layer in floor heating systems
technical parameters
- compressive strength 1 to 25 MPa *
- density classes from 400 to 2000 kg/m3 *
- consistency allowing easy laying and leveling of surfaces
- possible feeding with a concrete pump - styro-concrete in density class D1.0 and D1.2
- application with the use of an auger pump - foam-concrete
- application with the use of a basket or directly from the concrete mixer - leca-concrete
- maintenance as for regular concrete types
