At the meeting with the company's Board of Directors and management, a health and safety competition for subcontracting companies was settled and the company's good practices in this area were presented.

The winners of the competition were selected on the basis of assessments made by Dyckerhoff Polska sp. z o.o. employees. - project managers, representatives of production, maintenance and health and safety services - according to established criteria.

Jacek Starula, Head of H&S Department, presented good practices and H&S initiatives implemented at Dyckerhoff Polska in the field of improving accident prevention, including controlling access of external entities, adjusting machines to safety standards, installing belay systems, and modernizing the H&S room.

Then representatives of the Board of Directors: Dyckerhoff Poland Managing Director Miroslaw Majchrowicz and Finance Director Nataliia Pryimak, presented awards to the company's employees and to the winning subcontracting and repair companies. Dyckerhoff Poland also prepared special awards for individuals and companies for promoting high standards in occupational health and safety). Among them was Krzysztof Kocik, long-time Chairman of the Board , General Manager of the plant, who went down in the history of the cement plant as a leader in the process of shaping a high safety culture and promoting proactive attitudes in the field of health and safety.

Also awarded were Physician Danuta Purtal-Kociuba, as well as companies: PHT SUPON sp. z o.o. of Kielce, Skalmetr Monika Lebiest, Geological Services GEOMAR and the Production Department of Dyckerhoff Poland.

- This is a beautiful ceremony, which testifies to Dyckerhoff Poland's great commitment and concern for observing health and safety rules and raising standards in this area," said Anna Bujnowska, a representative of the Trade Union "Budowlani", who was a guest at the meeting.

- I am glad that the company's professional health and safety activities are still at the highest level and that cooperation with subcontractors is developing," added Krzysztof Kieres chairman of the Cement Producers Association, former general director of the cement plant in Nowiny. - Congratulations to the current management and employees.

An attraction for the guests was a tour of the Nowiny Cement Plant: informational training, a ride to the mine of the Smiths Mining Plant and participation in a rock crushing demonstration, the so-called "shooting show", and a tour of the most important places in the cement plant.
