Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

Dyckerhoff Polska attaches great importance to ensuring a safe working environment for employees and subcontractors carrying out their tasks at the plant. By taking various measures, we aim to maintain high standards of occupational health and safety. All employees are actively involved in improving safety by putting forward initiatives. Regular training helps to develop good habits and promote safe and responsible behaviour. In addition, discussing safety issues with employees, neighbours, authorities and other stakeholders plays an important role.

Cement Industry Medical Rescue CompetitionIt was the third time that representatives of Dyckerhoff Poland had the opportunity to participate in an event aimed at improving premedical first aid skills.

Safety Day 2024 - a health and safety competition for subcontracting companies was held for the third time. The awards were presented at the annual Safety Day meeting.


Dyckerhoff Poland Cement Plant is celebrating its seventh year without an accident, as evidenced by 2,500 days without any incidents involving workers. Management considers this a great success for both the crew and subcontractors.


The 2023 Cement Industry First Aid Competition was held for the second time in Poland, with 13 teams with more than 60 competitors. Organized by the Cement Manufacturers Association in cooperation with Eskulap, the event focused on improving first aid skills through four challenging tasks and simulations.


Dyckerhoff is implementing a safety campaign. The priority is to avoid accidents, and the campaign is based on the principle that workplace safety applies to everyone. Through an open information policy, training and dialogue with employees, the company is focusing on integrating employees and creating a responsible work environment. The campaign includes four phases implemented over a year at Dyckerhoff locations in Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.


Silver in the First Cement Industry Medical Rescue Competition in Poland - Dyckerhoff Poland was represented by two teams: the male team and the only full female team at the competition. Our teams presented themselves in a masterly manner, showing the full spectrum of skills, training, sensational coordination of activities and cooperation between team members which ultimately secured us a silver medal.


Health and safety competition for subcontracting companies - we held a meeting summarizing the work of subcontracting companies in the 2021/2022 repair season. Companies working most safely and at the same time promoting occupational safety were awarded a symbolic "Safe Work" statue.


Dyckerhoff Polska is involved in the protection of health and safety in the workplace, therefore as a responsible employer gave all employees the opportunity to perform free antigen tests for the presence of SARS Cov2 virus (Covid-19) and tests to determine the level of IgG antibodies.


Obtaining the certificate of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001:2018. Having a certified Occupational Health and Safety Management System confirms that Dyckerhoff Polska is committed to protecting health and ensuring people's safety at work. In practice, both the life and health of employees, business partners and, at the same time, guests and customers are better protected, and they feel more secure in the certified location.


Conference on “Employer – Organiser of Safe Work” attended by NLI (National Labour Inspectorate). We were its main organiser.


Awarded by NLI; Dyckerhoff Polska Sp. z o.o. was granted a prestigious award in a contest organised by the National Labour Inspectorate called “Employer – Organiser of Safe Work”. The Company’s enormous contribution to the improvement of working and safety conditions was appreciated.


Drills in the facilities of the cement plant, involving Rescue and Fire Fighting Unit No. 3 and rescuers from the Volunteer Fire Service (VFS) in Kowal and Wola Murowana.


Evacuation of the administration and office building carried out in collaboration with VFD of Wola Murowana. In order to correctly perform the drill, each floor in the building was completely filled with smoke and all the people located in the building were evacuated to the assembly point as quickly as possible.


Distinction granted by the National Labour Inspectorate for participation in the preventive programme of “STOP to Accidents; OHS Management – Preventing Accidents, Meeting Minimum OHS Requirements by Operated Machines and Equipment.
